DRess of the day

A step by step introduction to the Vintage inspired wedding dresses influenced by the 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s, 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s by the designer Astral Sundholm-Hayes.

The 1940’s is probably my brides favourite Silhouette as the focus in on the waist framed by the shoulders and fuller skirt of the wedding dress.

1940's style Molly wedding dress worn with Louis Mariette Rhinestone hair band

Late 1940’s inspired vintage wedding gown in beautiful cascading silk taffeta. The bust is gathered at the centre to flatter and accentuate the shape with wider straps at the shoulder and gradually get smaller to narrowed pleats set into the neckline to bring the eye to the bust detail. The dress is constructed of seven panels which are fitted under the bust line down to the waist and flare out from the hips to the floor with detailed graduated triangular inserts at the sides and back to the hem of the gown, there is also a taffeta belt with rhinestone claps. The gown can be worn with or without a petticoat.

All Circa Vintage Brides wedding dresses are made in England
